The term “clergy” refers to many different kind of ministers. Some serve congregations as pastors, associate pastors, youth and children’s ministers, pastoral counselors, educators, or leaders of music and worship. They can also be chaplains serving in military, hospital, and assisted living and hospice settings. Still others serve the Church as missionaries, leaders in the denomination, campus ministry or ecumenical settings. Some are ordained and some are commissioned and both have standing as Disciples clergy while others may have standing with another denomination or choose not to pursue standing. Whatever the type of service they offer, clergy have certain obligations and needs and this page is devoted to serving them.
If you are interested in exploring ministry as a possible calling, please talk with a pastor or other leader in your congregation. In addition, you may contact our Springfield Office via our Contact page.
